Each limited-edition city guide is inspired by the striking architecture which enhances the urban landscape and augments the flavour of the city. Extensive time was spent researching and selecting 24 buildings which best showcase the city’s architectural journey, embracing a broad spectrum of styles over the decades.
The buildings are arranged in chronological order. This creates an effective and sequential visual story of the city’s architectural development. The building’s name, address and architect are positioned below each individual building. The first building is a Traditional Rondavel and the last is the City of Johannesburg Council Chambers completed in 2017.
